ADOLF HITLER AND THE RISE OF NAZISM

In this review paper we investigate the history of Nazi ideology and Adolf Hitler's regime from its origin, development and aftermath. It looks at the socio-political side of how Nazism rose after the Great War and following the Treaty of Versailles, as well as the economic state of Germany. The paper describes Hitler’s upbringing, rise to power and construction of a totalitarian state of which race and Aryan superiority were big ideas. In doing so, this study examines the role played by Nazi propaganda, economic policy, and militaristic strategy in the regime’s expansion and in the outbreak of World War-II. Key chapters discuss Nazi medical experiments and the roles that women played in the Third Reich and the progress in science and technology as well as the use of architectural symbolism in support of Nazi ideals. The paper also contributes to the evaluation of the importance of the both SA and SS in cementing the regime's power behind it, and in enforcing the regime's policies. Then it also really looks at the lessons of that dark period to be vigilant against those kinds of extremist ideas as well and more fundamentally, defending human rights and democratic values. This comprehensive study serves to understand nazism from the historically and ideologically ground up, and to remind us that we are under obligation to remember and learn from the past.
