The Effects of Locomotor and Coordinative Abilities Training Program in Players Performance of Badminton Novies

The study aims to explore the effect of locomotor and coordiative abilities training program on physicalfitness variables of badminton novies. Participants:Ten badminton novies from bluemoon sports academy,Coimbatore, were selected as participants. The age of the subjects ranged from 11 to 13 years. Independentvariable:Locomotor and coordinative abilities training program on physical fitness variables , Dependentvariables: Speed , flexibility. Criterion Measures: Speed is measured by 50 meters dash ; flexibility ismeasured by sit and reach. Statistical Technique: A paired t-test was used to test the mean differencebetween the pre- and post-test. Training Protocol: During the training - 6 weeks, Number of days per week4 days, Number of sessions per day - 1 session (1 hour) and Duration of session - 60 minutes. Thesignificant improvements across physical fitness variables underscore the effectiveness of locomotor andcoordinative abilities program of physical fitness variables. It is concluded that the six weeks trainingprogram significantly enhanced speed , flexibility among badminton novies.
