Війна без турботи: відсутність етики піклування на прикладі тексту War групи Linkin Park
The article explores the concept of ethics of care in the context of rock poetry, particularly the example of the song War by the American rock band Linkin Park. The ethics of care, which is based on empathy, interdependence, and responsibility for others, is the opposite of war, which brings destruction, aggression, and alienation. Analyzing the text of War, the author demonstrates how it reflects a world devoid of care, where violence becomes the only means of interaction. The study also examines the place of ethics of care in American poetry and rock music, showing how these directions/trends raise issues of social indifference, moral responsibility, and the need for support between people. In Linkin Park’s work, the lack of care becomes a pervasive motif, manifested in texts dedicated to isolation, suffering, and loss of humanity. The results of our research allow for a deeper understanding of how rock poetry criticizes violence and indifference and why war is an absolute negation of the ethics of care.
