Building Resilient Information Systems through Strategic Access Management
This article explores the design, implementation, and governance of user rights and access control in modern information systems. It introduces a multi-level framework for defining user roles and privileges, spanning from basic operational access to strategic oversight, and examines how Role-Based Access Control (RBAC) and Attribute-Based Access Control (ABAC) models can be combined to create more flexible and secure infrastructures. The work includes architectural proposals, technical strategies, and practical recommendations for implementing hybrid access models across databases, back-end systems, and file systems. By addressing both the theoretical foundations and real-world challenges of rights management—such as complexity, risk mitigation, and system scalability—this article provides a comprehensive guide for developers, architects, and IT professionals seeking to build resilient and adaptable systems.
