A Review on Potential Health Benefits of Fenugreek Seeds, Flaxseeds and Curry Leaves
Several illnesses affecting humans are progressing much more quickly due to modern lifestyle choices, eating habits, stress, environmental variables, and extensive use of synthetic chemicals in food processing and agriculture. Worldwide, researchers have been searching for natural therapeutics that can be utilized to either treat or postpone the onset of various lifestyle-related illnesses. Due to the presence of various bioactive chemicals, several different kinds of medicinal plants have demonstrated the potential to be commonly used in therapies. Some of them are Fenugreek seeds, Flaxseeds and Curry leaves. Each of these natural ingredients is rich in bioactive compounds, including dietary fibers, essential fatty acids, alkaloids, and polyphenols, which contribute to their diverse pharmacological effects. Fenugreek seeds are known for their anti-diabetic, hypocholesterolemic, and gastroprotective activities. Flaxseeds, a potent source of alpha-linolenic acid (ALA) and lignans, are linked to cardiovascular protection, hormonal balance, and anti-inflammatory effects. Curry leaves, widely recognized for their antioxidant, hepatoprotective, and antidiabetic properties, are also a vital source of essential micronutrients. This review consolidates recent scientific findings and traditional knowledge to highlight the preventive and therapeutic potential of these ingredients.
