REIMAGINING THE COLLEGE STUDENTS' ADJUSTMENT, PERCEIVED STRESS AND THEIR SUBJECTIVE WELL – BEING: INPUT FOR RESILIENCE IN SCHOOL ENVIRONMENT UPLIFT PROGRAM (RISE – UP)
The transition from high school to college is pivotal for young adults, fostering growth and friendships while presenting mental health challenges. The UN's Sustainable Development Agenda targets health and education to improve student well-being during this period. A descriptive-correlational study surveyed 602 first-year college students using a survey questionnaire to assess adjustment, stress, and subjective well-being. Findings revealed significant adjustment issues related to academics, social life, and finances, affecting students' well-being. To support them, universities must implement resilience programs and prioritize mental health services, aligning with SDGs 3 and 4 for improved coping and educational quality.
