Examining Wasteland Transformation (A Case Study of Urban Development Around CCS Airport)
The area surrounding the Chaudhary Charan Singh (CCS) Airport in Lucknow, Uttar Pradesh historically characterized by vast stretches of wasteland, has witnessed substantial urban expansion in recent years. This research aims to explore the transformation of these wastelands into vibrant urban spaces through a combination of land use change analysis, socio-economic impacts, and environmental considerations. By examining the role of infrastructure, planning policies, and socio-economic drivers, this paper evaluates how urbanization has shaped the region and investigates the potential for sustainable development. The findings suggest that while urban expansion around CCS Airport has led to economic growth and improved connectivity, it has also introduced challenges related to environmental degradation and the loss of green spaces.
