CHEST STABILIZATION PLATE IN CHILDREN AND THE METHOD OF ITS APPLICATION FOR THE TREATMENT OF RIGID FORMS OF KEELED DEFORMITY OF THE CHEST

The authors have developed a chest stabilization plate in children and a method of its application for the treatment of rigid forms of keeled deformity of the chest. At the same time, a reduction in the traumatic nature of surgical treatment of the keeled deformity of the thorax is achieved, while increasing its effectiveness by eliminating the deformation of the sternocostal complex without violating its biomechanical integrity, ensuring stable fixation in a corrected position, and achieving a cosmetic effect in a shorter period of fixation. The developed device and the method of its application were used with positive success in 11 patients for the treatment of rigid forms of keeled deformity of the chest, which allows us to recommend this development to a wide clinical network.
