Vehicle unlocking system using Key Fob with Fingerprint
The goal of this project is to replace or enhance traditional key remote locking systems with biometric authentication to ensure that only authorized users can access and unlock the vehicle. By integrating a fingerprint sensor into the car key fob, this system will provide a higher level of security. The fingerprint sensor will scan the fingerprint of the user, and the system will authenticate the fingerprint by comparing it with pre-stored authorized patterns in a database. If the scanned fingerprint matches an authorized user's fingerprint, a signal will be sent to the vehicle's locking system to unlock the car. The project will utilize a fingerprint sensor module that captures and digitizes the fingerprint. The sensor will send this data to a microcontroller for processing, which will compare the scanned fingerprint against the stored authorized patterns. If a match is found, the system will trigger the unlocking mechanism. If not, access will be denied. The system’s microcontroller will communicate with both the fingerprint sensor and the vehicle's locking system. To ensure security, the fingerprint data will be securely stored, possibly using encryption to protect against unauthorized access. The communication between the microcontroller and the vehicle's locking system will also need to be secure. This biometric approach significantly enhances vehicle security, reducing the risk of unauthorized access. Additionally, it offers the convenience of eliminating traditional keys while providing users with an easy and reliable authentication method using their fingerprint.
