Notolopas brasiliensis Miers, 1886 (Fig. 2B) Notolopas brasiliensis Miers, 1886: 66, pl. 8 fig. 1. Material examined. 1 male (CW 11.78 × CL 13.65 mm), station SM06, 15.xi.2019 (CCDB 7456); 1 female (CW 12.62 × CL 13.57 mm), station IP05, 05.i.2021 (CCDB 7457). Geographic distribution. Western Atlantic— Colombia, Venezuela, and Brazil (Amapá, Pará, Maranhão, Ceará, Rio Grande do Norte, Paraíba, Pernambuco, Alagoas, Sergipe, Bahia, Espírito Santo, Rio de Janeiro, São Paulo, Paraná) (Rathbun 1925; Melo et al. 1989; Melo 1996, 1998; 2008; Barros & Pimentel 2001; Cruz-Castaño & Campos 2003; Melo & Veloso 2005; Almeida et al. 2007a, b; Mantelatto et al. 2020; present study). Remarks. This is the first record of Notolapas brasiliensis from Espírito Santo state. The values of the BLAST query cover (> 78%) and percent identity (>85%) were suitable for this identification, since our sequences aligned with other of the same species (MF490198, Mantelatto et al. 2018) and a congeneric species N. lamellatus Stimpson, 1871 (MK309586, Colavite et al. 2019). Sequence accession number (GenBank): CCDB 7456—16S (OR500064) (present study).
