Thus, the use of authentic materials is effective in the context of the FL classroom as the practical implication of such a concept is to develop sociocultural competence. This paper also aims to ascertain thus affirm including practical demonstration of how authentic materials like videos, songs, realia and cultural artefacts in learners’ contextualization process strengthens a sociocultural understanding as headed for the evaluation of the primary school learners. Teachers can easily develop formative and summative development in view of contextually authentic issues to help engage students with actual cultural content.
