Abiomyces undetermined

Abiomyces sp. Specimen examined. CHINA, Yunnan Province, Lijiang, Laojunshan, 26.6323°N, 99.7252°E, alt. ca. 3880 m, on twigs of Abies georgei, 16 Jul. 2020, C. L. Hou, M. J. Guo, and Q. T. Wang, HOU 1608 ZI (BJTC 2020049). Notes. In the multigene phylogenetic analysis, the molecular sequence of this specimen is closely related to A. laojunshanensis with strong support (MLB = 100 %, MPB = 97 %, PP = 1.00). The ITS rDNA sequence similarity of these two species is 94 %. Unfortunately, ascomata could not be found for this species. Mature ascomata are necessary to clarify specific morphological features of the species.
