Chrysina auripes Gray 1832

Chrysina auripes Gray, 1832 Original combination. Chrysina auripes Gray, 1832. Junior synonym. Chrysina chalchihuitli (Morón, 1990). Material studied. Three specimens. “[male genitalia] // [right protarsus] // Aruipes / Gray / Mexique [h] // Nevinson Coll. / 1918-14. [p] // NHMUK 014589730 [p]”; “ Mex [h] // Nevinson Coll. / 1918-14. The specimen with the unique NHMUK number “014589825” was previously identified as Plusiotis chalchihuitli (Morón, 1990) in the collection. This was synonymised by Hawks (2001), and the specimen is therefore now identified as the senior synonym, Chrysina auripes Gray, 1832.
