Distribution. Reported from Brazil (PR) (Burckhardt & Ouvrard 2012, as Diclidophlebia crassiflagellata); Paraguay (Burckhardt 1996, as Paurocephala crassiflagellata). Brazil (MG, MS, PR, RS). Comments. Klyveria crassiflagellata differs from K. flaviae sp. nov. and K. setinervis (Burckhardt) in the larger body size (FL> 1.8 versus <1.8), the very narrow pterostigma of the forewing (PtL/PtW> 14.0 versus 9.0), and in the paramere, in both lateral and dorsal views, with a broad apex bearing two small sclerotised teeth (versus narrow apex lacking distinct sclerotised teeth). It differs from K. flaviae sp. nov. as detailed under the latter species, and from K. setinervis in the following characters: the shorter setae on head, thorax and forewing veins; the relatively shorter vertex (VW/VL <3.0 versus> 3.0); the narrower cell cu 1 of forewing (Cu 1a L/cu 1 W> 3.0 versus <2.0); the oval circumanal ring on the female proctiger (versus cruciform).
