Abstract This study investigated the application and effectiveness of artificial intelligence tools among private basic schools’ teachers in Ilorin West, Kwara State, Nigeria. A correlation research design method was employed, the population of the study consists of all private basic schools’ teachers during the 2024/2025 academic session in Ilorin west, Kwara state. A sample size of 200 teachers were selected from the target population using multi-stage sampling technique. A 10-item questionnaire (Artificial Intelligent Tools and Teachers’ Effectiveness) on a four-point Likert scale was used to collect data. Two research questions and one hypothesis were generated and formulated to guide the study. The data obtained were analysed using mean and standard deviation on the research questions while Pearson product moment correlation Coefficient on hypothesis at 0.05 level of significance. The results showed a significant positive relationship between the application of artificial intelligence tools (AI) and teachers' effectiveness. The study concluded that AI can be a valuable tool for enhancing teachers' effectiveness in private basic schools. The findings of this study have implications for educational policymakers, school administrators, and teachers seeking to integrate AI into their instructional practices.
