Growth and Characterisation of L-Tryptophan Hydrogen Selenite (LTHS) single crystal by Slow Evaporation Solution Growth Method for NLO Applications.
Abstract L-Tryptophan Hydrogen Selenite was synthesised and structurally characterised at room temperature. From single-crystal X-ray diffraction study, the prepared sample was found to be orthorhombic space group P212121. The FT-IR spectral analysis supports the tryptophan aliphatic system. The UV–Vis spectral studies showed that LTHS's cut-off wavelength was 237 nm. From Dielectric Studies shows LTHS has high dielectric constant The Photoluminescence spectra showed the higher optical quality of he prepared sample. From the micro hardness investigation, LTHS had a higher SHG efficiency than KDP.
