Psychological Effects of Hypnosis on People
Hypnosis is a psychological state characterized by an altered level of consciousness that increases an individual's susceptibility to suggestion. Currently integrated into therapeutic practices, hypnosis serves as a supportive tool in managing various psychological disorders such as anxiety disorders, depression, post-traumatic stress disorder (PTSD), phobias, and habit-related conditions. This study examines the psychological effects of hypnosis on individuals from both theoretical and clinical perspectives. Research indicates that hypnosis induces relaxation, deepens attentional focus, and promotes inward reflection, thereby facilitating psychotherapeutic processes. By enabling work with subconscious processes, hypnosis enhances self-awareness and insight in clients. However, ethical considerations, practitioner competence, and the potential for misuse must also be acknowledged. This study aims to comprehensively evaluate the psychological impacts of hypnosis, highlighting its benefits and limitations within scientific frameworks.
