THE LUMPENPROLETARIAT IN THE CONTEXT OF VENEZUELAN MIGRATION IN RORAIMA
Starting in 2016, Roraima received a significant number of migrants from Venezuela in search of better living conditions away from their homeland. The study aims to understand the theoretical support linked to the concept of lumpenproletariat to classify Venezuelan migrants during their stay in Roraima. The methodology used in this study is bibliographic research, through which subsidies will be sought to understand the cited concept in international and national articles, both classic and recent, with a high number of citations, according to the guidelines of the journal. Additionally, data regarding the reality of Venezuelan migrants in Roraima since their recent population increase were collected from official websites and organizations such as the Migration Observatory. As a result, data analysis was carried out through the narrative review method, and thus, a set of information was obtained that, in its entirety, could assist in establishing reciprocal relationships between theory and observable reality, between the concept of lumpenproletariat and the lives of migrants from Venezuela. The conclusion reached was that the migrants studied in this research correspond to the classic classifications of the lumpen.
