Leveraging Predictive Analytics to Transform Event Planning and Execution

Abstract—Predictive analytics has decided to integrate into event management to revolutionize planning and execution of events. Through the use of advanced data analytics and machine learning, event organizers foresee attendance, and resource allocation, and what is more, they can improve the experience of the attendees themselves. The EvoCom, a comprehensive event management system is the basis of this paper which explores the transformational role that predictive analytics play in event management. The Random Forest Regressor model is applied in a study to predict success of the event using event category, community type, timing, and text analysis of event description. Furthermore, the paper discusses cloud-based solutions, API integration, and real time feedback loop to enhance event execution within the EvoCom platform. These technologies, in turn, aid in the community event planning process by making decision making easier, improving attendee experiences and improving community event planning operational efficiency.
