USING TECHNOLOGY TO ENHANCE FOREIGN LANGUAGE READING INSTRUCTION

This article explores the role of technology in enhancing foreign language reading instruction in middle school. It examines the benefits, challenges, and practical applications of integrating digital tools into the classroom. The use of technology, such as digital libraries, language learning apps, and speech recognition software, can increase engagement, provide personalized learning experiences, and improve students' reading comprehension skills. However, challenges such as technical limitations, digital distractions, and the need for teacher training must be addressed to maximize the effectiveness of technology in the language learning process. The article concludes by emphasizing the importance of thoughtful implementation of technology to support students’ foreign language reading proficiency.
