Public Perception and Adoption of Cryptocurrency and Blockchain Technology
This research paper explores the evolving public perception and adoption of cryptocurrency and blockchain technology, with a specific focus on India's digital landscape. While these innovations have gained significant global momentum, widespread adoption among the general public remains limited due to trust issues, regulatory uncertainty, and lack of awareness. The study combines primary research and secondary literature analysis to identify the key drivers and barriers affecting user behavior. Through a systematic investigation of factors such as media influence, government policy, user demographics, and technological accessibility, this paper highlights the gap between innovation and mass trust. It also sheds light on the broader utility of blockchain beyond cryptocurrencies, including its potential in sectors like healthcare, supply chains, and governance. The findings aim to support policy-makers, educators, tech developers, and financial institutions in promoting inclusive and responsible adoption of these transformative technologies. This paper contributes to the global discourse on building secure, transparent, and citizen-friendly digital ecosystems.
