Life on Earth is sustained by complex interactions between organisms and their environment. These biotic interactions can be captured in datasets and published digitally. We present a review and archiving process for such an openly accessible digital interactions dataset of known origin and discuss its outcome. The dataset under review, named JohnLlewelyn/random-forests-for-predicting-predator-prey-interactions-in-terrestrial-vertebrates, has fingerprint hash://md5/88d1dc105186241ec0eb0c8f35e4e533, is 33.0MiB in size and contains 1,326 interactions with 1 unique type of association (e.g., preysOn) between 56 primary taxa (e.g., Felis catus) and 614 associated taxa (e.g., Mus musculus). This report includes detailed summaries of interaction data, a taxonomic review from multiple catalogs, and an archived version of the dataset from which the reviews are derived.
