EOSC-ENTRUST D10.1 Provider adoption and evaluation report of Year 1 blueprint and technology, including barriers to adoption & TRE gap analysis
The first year of the EOSC-ENTRUST project, particularly through the Provider Forum (WP10), has focused on advancing Trusted Research Environments (TREs) within the European Open Science Cloud. Key achievements include the formation of a collaborative TRE Provider Forum comprising 15 organisations, the creation of a detailed TRE inventory, and a comprehensive capabilities and gap analysis. These efforts have been essential in aligning governance, improving interoperability, and identifying regulatory and technical challenges across the TRE landscape in Europe. A structured requirements management framework was also developed to address evolving stakeholder and compliance needs, ensuring a cohesive federated TRE ecosystem. Collaboration across various EOSC-ENTRUST work packages has further strengthened alignment with overarching EOSC goals. Moving forward, the project aims to refine its inventory, expand the forum's reach, and boost TRE adoption, laying a strong foundation for a unified European research infrastructure.
