EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF THE GEOMETRIC CHANGES AND EVAPORATION KINETICS OF A LIQUID DROPLET UNDER TEMPERATURE CONDITIONS (USING DISTILLED WATER AS AN EXAMPLE)
This article presents an experimental study of the evaporation kinetics and geometric parameter changes — specifically the base diameter and height — of a distilled water droplet in a horizontal configuration under various temperature conditions (21°C, 23°C, 25°C, 27°C, and 29°C). The experiments were conducted under normal atmospheric pressure and 20% relative humidity, with droplet size measurements recorded every minute using an electron microscope. The results demonstrated that with increasing temperature, the evaporation rate of the droplet increased, accompanied by significant changes in the dynamics of its geometric dimensions. Graphical and tabular analyses confirmed an almost linear relationship between temperature and evaporation time. The experimental findings provide an important theoretical and practical basis for a deeper understanding of droplet evaporation mechanisms and for modeling the effects of temperature parameters.
