Paper 23: Discrete Action Principles and Symmetry Constraints in the Holosphere Lattice
This paper builds a discrete action principle for Holosphere Theory. Instead of treating dynamics as smooth paths that minimize a continuous energy, it models evolution as step-by-step transitions on a rotating lattice of Holosphere nodes with Planck-scale microstructure. Candidate paths are scored by a discrete action, but they are physically realized only if each step passes local admissibility gates (bounded phase steps, link compatibility, and topology checks). Closed, integer-winding loops that satisfy these gates become stable orbital modes, giving a structural route to quantization without imposing a continuum wave equation. Multi-loop composites and multipartite correlations persist only when shared corridor links remain admissible and total coherence costs stay below dropout budgets. A key consistency point is that the transport exponent β = 3/2 is treated as a global scaling constraint on sustainable coherence flow, not as a pointwise cutoff. The framework supplies an operational basis for selection rules and symmetry breaking as consequences of direction-dependent admissibility under repeated evolution, and it prepares the ground for the Holosphere Lagrangian formalism developed in Paper 25.
