Recognising and Rewarding Open Science TU/e - Two-month project update

Recognizing and Rewarding Open Science at TU/e (Project Update - Month 2) This project aims to support inclusive, transparent, and diverse academic careers at TU/e by improving academic assessment processes and fostering better academic cultures. With funding from the Open Science NL grant (2024), the project encompasses three pillars: (1) developing a database of good practices in Open Science, (2) creating interventions for appointment advisory committees (BACs), and (3) building a vibrant internal and external community. As of May 2025, initial milestones have been reached: interviews and BAC engagements are ongoing, collaborations have been initiated, and key fall events are being planned to connect stakeholders and foster dialogue. The next steps include piloting training, continuing stakeholder engagement, and hosting a major kickoff event to increase project visibility and strengthen collaborations.
