DIGITAL RIGHTS PROTECTION AND PRIVACY: THE GDPR AND THE IMPACT OF INTERNATIONAL REGULATIONS
With the advancement of the digital age, legal regulations in Turkey and in the world in terms of the protection and privacy of data, which is the most fundamental element of this age, inevitably appear as a result. In this age where data is rapidly collected, processed and shared, it is clear that these processes need to be regulated and supervised. This study aims to compare Turkish and international legal regulations on digital rights and personal data protection and to evaluate the interaction between the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the regulations in Turkey.
