Coseismic Surface Deformation Analysis of the 2025 Myanmar Mw 7.9 Earthquake Using Sentinel-1 Pixel Offset Tracking (POT) and Phase Unwrapping Methods
This dataset contains pixel offset tracking results and phase unwrapping data derived from Sentinel-1 SAR imagery, focusing on the Mw 7.9 earthquake that occurred in Myanmar on March 28, 2025. The data were collected from ascending tracks T070 and T143, and descending tracks T033 and T106, covering the southern segment of the Sagaing Fault, which represents the primary rupture zone of the earthquake. Coseismic surface displacements were extracted using pixel offset tracking and phase unwrapping techniques, revealing a dominant right-lateral strike-slip motion along the fault zone. The phase unwrapping method was applied to interferometric SAR data to obtain continuous surface deformation, thereby improving the accuracy of displacement estimates and offering deeper insights into the fault behavior during the earthquake. The data were processed by the InSAR team at the University of Science and Technology of China (USTC). This dataset is crucial for studies on earthquake-induced deformation, fault kinematics, and seismic hazard assessment.
