Material examined. PORTUGAL: 1♀, Guarda, Guarda, 40.535°N, 7.289°W, 930 m a.s.l., 2. VI.2018, D. Ortiz & S. Pekár leg., CMU; 1♀, Valmaior, Albergaria-A-Velha, 40.698°N, 8.462°W, 3. VI.2018, D. Ortiz & S. Pekár leg., CMU; 1♂, 3♀, Igreja, Aveiro, 40.646°N, 8.654°W, 40 m a.s.l., 3. VI.2018, D. Ortiz & S. Pekár leg., CMU; 1♀, Bajouca, Leiria, 39.9°N, 8.789°W, 130 m a.s.l., 4. VI.2018, D. Ortiz & S. Pekár leg., CMU; 1♂, 42 juv., Torreira, Murtosa, 40.766°N, 8.710°W, 23.III.2022, S. Pekár et al. leg., CMU. Diagnosis: Males of Z. atlanticum can be distinguished from other relatives in the rubidum group by the embolus and its subterminal tooth, both with truncated tips (Fig. 14B). Females, on the other hand, can be identified by a combination of characters, including the convergent postero-lateral margins of the epigyne (Figs 15H, 17B), and the short septum (Figs 15H, 17B). Description: For a detailed description of the habitus and male palp, refer to Pekár & Cardoso (2005). Epigyne (Fig. 17B): Epigynal plate sub-trapezoidal, anteriorly limited by an antero-median chitinous ridge. The ridge anteriorly accompanied by a wedge-shaped structure. Epigynal plate posteriorly widened, laterally S-shaped. Epigyne with a short longitudinal septum, posteriorly elongated toward the epigynal plate. Epigyne accompanied by a pair of copulatory openings on antero-lateral sides of the septum. These copulatory openings linked to a pair of lateral pits by connecting grooves. Molecular data: COI mitochondrial barcodes (Genbank accession): KX954299, MT370090, PP373358, PP373359. Maximum intraspecific COI divergence (n=4): 1.3 %. Minimum interspecific divergence (to Z. gregua): 4.6%. Consensus COI distance to the closest species (to Z. styliferum): 3.1%. Distribution: Portugal, Azores.
