LEADERSHIP AND GOVERNANCE IN PUBLIC POLICY: A SYSTEMATIC LITERATURE REVIEW
The aim of this article is to outline the configuration of studies on public leadership and governance, with a focus on the practical application of public policy analysis, by means of an international Systematic Literature Review. The Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic Reviews and Meta-Analyses method was used to gather the information. This Systematic Literature Review was carried out on the Web of Science and Scopus databases, from 2019 to 2024, in English and Spanish and using scientific articles as the object. Fifteen articles were examined and the results indicate, through graphic analysis, word clouds and qualitative analysis of the research corpus, that there is a plural scientific production in this thematic universe, with different fronts of study and analytical approaches. The research concludes that effective public leadership adapted to its context is essential for effective governance and the implementation of public policies, as it promotes coordination, engagement and overcomes challenges in complex contexts.
