AR VR Enabled Digital Interactive Book for Electrical Engineering
Abstract Electrical engineering students often face several negative aspects regarding conventional textbooks, including high costs that can make them inaccessible, complex language that may hinder comprehension, and limited practical applications of theoretical concepts. These textbooks are typically bulky and inconvenient to carry, lack interactive features found in digital resources, and may contain outdated information due to the rapid advancements in technology. Additionally, finding specific information can be time-consuming compared to digital formats, and storage can become a challenge in small living spaces. Environmental concerns also arise from the production of physical books, and resale options may be limited, making it difficult for students to recoup costs. Overall, many students find that a blend of traditional texts and modern digital resources enhances their learning experience in this technical field. This paper discusses the integration of Augmented Reality (AR) and Virtual Reality (VR) technologies in the development of a digital interactive book specifically designed for Electrical Engineering education. It emphasizes the advantages of immersive learning for complex topics through 3D visualizations and real-time interactions. The study outlines methods for content creation, user interface design, and the evaluation of educational effectiveness. Results indicate that AR and VR enable digital interactive book can significantly enhance student engagement and understanding of electrical engineering concepts.
