Digital Surface Modeling of Two Human Mummified Remains at the Rudolf-Virchow Collection Using 3D Photogrammetry and Artec Scanning. Supplementary Materials.

The following supplemental materials include documentation of 3D photogrammetric and Artec surface scanning models of two human mummified remains (BGAEU-RVMM 1 and BGAEU-RVMM 2) housed in the anthroplogical Rudolf-Virchow-Collection in Berlin, Germany. Both individuals will be referred to here as Individual 1 (BGAEU-RVMM 2) and Individual 2 (BGAEU-RVMM 1). The goal of modeling the human remains was to digitally preserve them in order to better protect the physical remains. The models of both inidviduals are presented and dicussed in the 2024 volume of the Mittelungen der Beliner Gesellschaft für Anthropologie, Ethnologie und Urgeschichte published in 2025. The methodological aspects will be published elsewhere. Access to the 3D models can be requested from the Berliner Gesellschaft für Anthropologie, Ethnologie und Urgeschichte (https://www.bgaeu.de/).
