Heritage in Emergency: Ukraine
Abstract The article examines the responses of the democratic world to the emergencies that have affected Ukraine’s cultural heritage, both tangible and intangible, since 2022 when Russia launched a full-scale military invasion of Ukraine. The focus is on the initiatives taken by the higher education institutions that the authors’ team has tracked in different countries in Europe and beyond. Seven case studies are analysed in more detail.
