Velocity-Driven Quantum Decoherence: A Critical Model for the Quantum-to-Classical Transition
This thesis presents a novel approach to understanding quantum decoherence by introducing velocity asa key factor in the quantum-to-classical transition. Typically, decoherence occurs as a result of environmental interactions, which cause quantum systems to lose coherence, thus transitioning into classical behavior. However, this research proposes that velocity itself acts as an accelerant to the decoherence process, and introduces the concept of Arrabal Critical Velocity as a threshold beyond which quantum coherence rapidly decays. The Arrabal Critical Velocity Formula is derived, demonstrating that at speeds beyond this threshold, quantum systems experience an accelerated loss of coherence, making the transition to classical behavior faster. Additionally, this thesis explores the application of quantum error correction (QEC) techniques, incorporating Kraus operators, to mitigate the effects of velocity-driven decoherence. An experiment is proposed using proton beams at CERN to validate the theoretical framework. The implications of this work span quantum computing, high-energy physics, and cosmology, particularly in the context of understanding the early universe.
