Contactless Vehicle Identification and Charging for Hybrid EVS USING RFID

The global transition towards sustainable transportation has led to a surge in Hybrid Electric Vehicles (HEVs) and Electric Vehicles (EVs). However, the existing charging infrastructure faces challenges related to authentication, security, and user convenience. Radio Frequency Identification (RFID) technology presents an efficient solution by enabling automated, secure, and contactless charging processes[1]. This paper explores the design, implementation, and benefits of an RFID-based HEV charging system, building upon the research presented in "Hybrid Electric Vehicle Charging using RFID" . The proposed system integrates RFID authentication with energy monitoring and automated billing, ensuring a seamless charging experience. A detailed block diagram illustrates the system architecture, followed by an analysis of its advantages, challenges, and future enhancements[2].
