Authentic Leadership and Employee Creativity: An Indian IT Context
Abstract: This conceptual paper proposes a study to explore the moderating roles of perceived leader support and willingness to take risks in the relationship between authentic leadership and creativity, both directly and indirectly via intrinsic motivation. Drawing on interactionist theory and trait activation theory, the study aims to investigate how perceived leader support can enhance the impact of authentic leadership on creativity, and how willingness to take risks might serve as a boundary condition for this relationship. This study provides valuable insights for industry leaders by developing a novel framework to understand the mediating and moderating effects influencing creativity in organizational settings. Keywords: India, Authentic Leadership, Intrinsic Motivation, Perceived Leader Support, Willingness to take Risk, Employee Creativity and Moderated Mediation
