Advancing Novel Endpoints in Oncology Trials: A Systematic Review
This systematic review examines novel endpoints in oncology trials, focusing on neoadjuvant survival metrics, tumor response evaluation, and advanced predictive strategies. Synthesized using the Synthory.AI service, the review includes 25 studies published from 2018 to 2025, identified through PubMed and PubMed Central™. Key findings emphasize the utility of pathological complete response (pCR), major pathological response (MPR), and circulating tumor DNA (ctDNA) dynamics as predictive markers for survival, offering insights into personalized treatment approaches. Despite methodological challenges and limited generalizability, these advancements highlight the potential for optimizing therapeutic evaluations. Future research should prioritize standardized endpoints, multicenter trials, and real-world data integration to enhance oncology care.
