AGROCHEMICAL PROPERTIES OF SALINE SOILS OF SYRDARYA REGION

The middle reaches of the Syrdarya River cover the Mirzachul and Jizzakh deserts on the left bank, and the foothills and oasis in front of Tashkent on the right bank. The territory is administratively divided into three large regions: Tashkent, Syrdarya and Jizzakh. The total area of irrigated land is 985 thousand hectares. Syrdarya region is the smallest administrative-territorial unit among the regions of our republic, distinguished by its unique nature. With a total land area of 4280 km², it is the last among the administrative-territorial units in terms of area, second only to Tashkent city. Despite its small area, it occupies one of the leading places in our republic in terms of agroecology.
