Подкаст «дітям від дітей»: аудіоказка як акт турботи

As a form of new online media, podcasts are becoming increasingly popular and more accessible (both for listeners and those who create audio products). According to a survey conducted by Suspilne in October 2021 on the topic: “How many Ukrainians listen to podcasts?” the number of those who listen to podcasts was only 8.3%, of whom the largest percentage were men - 57.2%, and the average age of listeners was 31 years. 55.8% of all respondents had a university degree. Meanwhile, the results of the 2021 annual survey by The Infinite Dial show that “in the United States, 57% of Americans over the age of 12 have listened to a podcast at least once.” (Kovtun, 2023) Although podcasts are less popular in the Ukrainian media space than, for example, in the United States, a certain audience of listeners is being formed in Ukraine. Thus, podcasts for children are distinguished into a certain group, which is distinguished not only by the age criterion but also by the thematic criterion. Such podcasts can serve as an important tool for ethical education, particularly in the context of caregiving, becoming a kind of alternative to cartoons. The project “To Children by Children” stands out from other podcasts because the narration and sometimes the authorship of the stories belong to children. This is not only entertaining content but also a way to teach empathy, emotional intelligence, and support through audio. This feature makes it unique because, here, the fairy tale becomes not only a means of storytelling but also an act of care and support.
