The Relationship between High-Quality Human Resources and the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Vietnam Today: A Perspective from Historical Materialism

This study examines the relationship between high-quality human resources and the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Vietnam through historical materialism. Vietnam's position within global technological transformation necessitates understanding the dialectical interplay between human capital development and technological adoption. Using qualitative methods combining document analysis, statistical assessment, and industry case studies, this research identifies contradictions between Vietnam's human resource capabilities and Industry 4.0 demands. Findings reveal structural misalignment between Vietnam's education system outputs and industry requirements, particularly in digital literacy, adaptive problem-solving, and technical skills. Historical materialist analysis demonstrates how Vietnam's transition from agricultural to digital economic structures requires corresponding transformations in human resource development. This study contributes theoretical understanding of technological transitions in developing economies and provides frameworks for policymakers to reconcile dialectical tensions between Vietnam's socioeconomic conditions and global technological imperatives. The conclusions emphasize systemic reforms in Vietnam's education and training systems, highlighting the connection between human development and technological advancement.
