Quality of Medical Services

More and more m-Health applications are being created to improve the delivery of healthcare services. This study proposes a novel system for reporting diagnostic and therapeutic procedures that is based on the calm computing principle. Using the Agency for the Integration, Diffusion and Archive (AIDA), a multi-agent interoperability platform, a mobile application was created for the doctors at one of the largest hospitals in Portugal. In addition to providing remote access to information, this application enables the faster and safer display of medical reports for both inpatients and outpatients. This study demonstrates the benefits of using mobile software in a medical setting, but the first step is always to create or make use of an interoperability platform that is widespread, versatile, and adaptive. It is important to quantify, track, and enhance healthcare quality across time. We can monitor the effectiveness of our healthcare system by clearly defining, based on current science, which services should be given to patients who have or are at risk for specific conditions and determining if those services are being correctly supplied at the appropriate time. A performance metric can be proposed by subject-matter experts, tested, adopted, and placed into use. The effectiveness of healthcare, patient outcomes, and general public health are all significantly influenced by the quality of medical services. The main elements of healthcare quality—accessibility, clinical efficacy, patient safety, and patient-centered care—are examined in this article. It looks at the main issues influencing the quality of healthcare, including shortages in workforces, resource constraints, and differences between developed and developing countries. Furthermore, the topic of how innovation and technology might improve medical services is covered, emphasizing developments such as electronic health records, telemedicine, and artificial intelligence. The essay also assesses how worldwide best practices, healthcare policies, and governmental laws affect the provision of high-quality care. This study intends to investigate these aspects in order to offer insights on enhancing healthcare systems and fostering fair access to high-quality medical services globally.
