Community-Based Screening for Infectious Diseases: A Pathological Approach
This study evaluates the impact of a community-based, pathology-focused screening program on the early detection and management of infectious diseases in Bihar from 2021 to 2024. A total of 200 patients were screened, identifying significant cases of tuberculosis, hepatitis, and typhoid fever. The integration of pathological diagnostics led to a 40% rate of early detection and a 30% reduction in disease progression, demonstrating the effectiveness of targeted screening in resource-limited settings. Challenges included resource constraints and cultural barriers, yet the outcomes suggest substantial public health benefits, advocating for expanded implementation of similar models in comparable regions.
