Event Sequences in Complex Systems: A V-Net Simulation

This poster investigates the application of V-nets, a novel formal artificial intelligence model for diagnosing complex systems, within a high-performance computing (HPC) environment. The study leverages the vast computational power of HPC clusters to simulate numerous possible event sequences that a complex system might undergo. V-nets, known for handling intricate temporal dynamics, are particularly adept at recognizing the correct event sequences amidst a multitude of potential variations. The research formally demonstrates V-nets' competency in identifying the intended temporal patterns within simulated event sequences. Python is used as the programming language to construct the V-net model and to interact with an HPC cluster. The study attempts to demonstrate how well V-nets can discriminate genuine sequences from extraneous or erroneous patterns by simulating a wide range of event sequences. The foundation for future research on the effectiveness and scalability of V-net simulations on HPC systems is laid by this publication. V-nets are expected to become a key component for extensive research and diagnosis of complex systems across a range of fields by utilizing the power of HPC.
