Systematic Review Article: Effects of Excessive Screen Time of Mobile on Health

The ubiquitous presence of mobile devices in everyday life has led to widespread concerns about the long-term health consequences of excessive screen time. This systematic review aims to explore the relationship between mobile screen overuse and various physical, mental, and disturbances, anxiety, depression, attention deficit, and behavioural changes. The review synthesizes evidence from 20 peer-reviewed studies, highlighting the significant health risks posed by mobile screen overuse. Findings indicate that while mobile devices offer numerous benefits, their overuse can have detrimental effects, particularly among adolescents and young adults. Public health guidelines are urgently needed to promote healthier mobile phone usage habits and reduce the risk of associated health problems.
