Lucid Thresholds_ Structured Dreaming as a Phase-Locked Consciousness State
CODES Framework Description This paper reconceptualizes lucid dreaming as a deterministic consciousness tier governed by structured resonance dynamics. Using the CODES framework, we model lucid states as phase-locked symbolic regimes marked by elevated PAS_n (Phase Alignment Score), bidirectional feedback loops, and coherent EEG markers in beta–gamma bands. Drawing from both neuroscience and coherence theory, we identify lucid dreaming not as a hybrid between waking and REM, but as a lawful symbolic domain. The Resonance Intelligence Core (RIC) is shown to recognize lucid feedback signatures, while VESSELSEED modules may use lucidity as a bio-symbolic plasticity window for memory repair and emotional restructuring. Lucid dreams, in this view, are not merely epiphenomena—but structured states of recursive symbolic simulation. The paper includes: A formal PAS_n band model of consciousness A lucid-state EEG/fMRI signature breakdown Applications to symbolic remediation (VESSELSEED) and inference modeling (RIC) A lucid-phase diagram showing coherence inflection Implications for consciousness, identity, and symbolic intelligence
