Thailand • holotype; 1996; S. Panha leg.; CUMZ ver. 015. Type locality. “ Pattalung province, 7°40′17″N, 100°1′11″E, 70 meters elevation ”. (Thailand) Differential diagnosis. This species is similar in shell shape to H. taehwani but the latter is spirally striated and has concrescent angular and parietal lamellae. Also, H. taehwani has a stronger keel than H. burchi and deeper grooves both above and below the keel. It also resembles H. modestum but the last whorl in H. burchi is keeled and more strongly detached and descending. The umbilicus is also wider in H. burchi. Distribution. This species is known only from the type locality.
