THE IMPACT OF PREOPERATIVE RISK STRATIFICATION, ENHANCED RECOVERY AFTER SURGERY (ERAS) PROTOCOLS, AND PERSONALIZED ANESTHESIA MANAGEMENT ON MORBIDITY AND MORTALITY RATES IN GENERAL SURGERY PATIENTS
Advancements in perioperative care have significantly improved surgical outcomes. This paper explores the combined impact of preoperative risk stratification, Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocols, and personalized anesthesia management on morbidity and mortality rates in general surgery patients. Risk stratification helps identify high-risk patients, while ERAS protocols enhance recovery and reduce complications. Personalized anesthesia tailors pain management to individual needs, optimizing perioperative safety. This study synthesizes past research, highlighting key trends and statistical improvements, and presents graphical data for better understanding.
