Corporate Social Responsibility: The Impact on Business Performance in PNG in the Twenty First Centuries
Abstract: In the twenty-first century, corporate social responsibility (CSR) is essential for long-term business sustainability. Organizations that invest in their communities and tackle environmental issues enhance their brand reputation and contribute to societal well-being. In contrast, companies that overlook CSR may harm their market viability and public perception. This study reviews various articles and reports to highlight the significant impact of CSR on business performance and reputation. Despite the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic, many businesses have remained committed to philanthropy, supporting their communities during difficult times. By prioritizing social responsibility, companies can shift their focus from immediate profits to long-term sustainability, fulfilling their economic and ethical obligations. Implementing effective CSR strategies builds trust and strengthens community relationships, benefiting both businesses and the regions they serve.
