Science Explorer (SciX): Accelerating Discovery Across NASA Data, Software, & Science
The Science Explorer (SciX) is a newly expanded open science resource designed to integrate and enhance the representation of data, software, and scientific literature from all domains of the NASA Science Mission Directorate. Building on the strengths of the Astrophysics Data System (ADS), SciX now encompasses Astrophysics, Heliophysics, Earth Science, and the Biological & Physical Sciences. Aimed at professionals working within and across all of NASA's science domains and divisional data systems, we will demonstrate how SciX serves as a centralized platform for sharing and discovering publications, data, and software products. Highlighting the platform's advanced bibliometric data visualizations, we will also cover how SciX aids researchers in uncovering new research connections. Attendees will learn more about the rapid expansion of SciX, new tools and technologies enabling the platform to scale its ingestion of content, and informatics innovations that tailor the platform to the specific needs of all NASA science domain communities. Finally, practical demonstrations will illuminate how to incorporate and manage resources within SciX, equipping researchers, repository managers, and data curators with the knowledge and tools needed to represent their products more comprehensively within Science Explorer, fostering a unified and expansive open science platform.
