An Insight into the Barriers of Cross - Cultural Communication andthe Possible Solutions
Abstract: Cross-cultural communication shapes language and cultural misunderstandings. It utilizes knowledge of many aspects, such as the other culture's manners, values, perceptions, social structure, and norms regarding decision making and an understanding of how group members communicate--verbally, non-verbally, in a broad range of social situations. Gotland University states that cross cultural communication is a process in which a person can exchange, negotiate, facilitate the transmission of cultural differences by means of language, non-verbal cues etc. In the changing global era of today, cross cultural communication is a very important issue especially in managerial life. Not only are different countries different in their work culture, but even different countries have their own way of interacting with people of other cultures.
